Become Who You Want To Be

High school graduates, look back on your high school experience. What kind of person were you? Did you like who you were?

Now, look into your future, the next four years of your life. Where will you spend them? In college? In the army? Now put these together.

Do you like the person you are and is that person ready to take on all that you are about to encounter? Asking myself these questions, I am scared.

Even though high school ended only a couple of weeks ago, I am already lost. I guess the person I was in high school isn't who I want to be when I enter college in August.

There are some things I can't get rid of, my morals, my beliefs, but there are so many things that aren't my strong points. These two things were, they are all I have of the person I want to be. This summer and this fall are going to test the person I want to be.

I am taking my college experience and turning it into something that will not only help my education grow, but also help me grow personally. These next 13 months will test every aspect of my life and will help me realize how I can make my life better.

I am tired of feeling alone and like I don't know who I am anymore. It's time for me to change the negative in my life and turn them into a positive.

So I lost who I am, now I get to find all the things I admire in my heroes and try to incorporate that with what I know I want: strong morals and beliefs and values, with motivation, organization, outgoing, growth, and to be stronger; emotionally, and a little physically too!

I know what kind of person I want to be, the hardest part is making the changes. And the weird thing is I began thinking about these changes when I was in high school.

I challenge everyone, high school or college to look deep into who you are and find that person you really want to be, but don't lose those quirky things that make you unique.

Change only that which needs to change, and make sure it's internal not external. Beauty really is skin deep.
