How I chose my community college

Name: Darlene Grove
Age: 25
School: Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio
Hometown: Eastlake, Ohio

How did you choose your college? It was close to home and offered a lot of options for transfer to other schools. I could live with my parents while working and going to school. The tuition was also very affordable.

Best thing about your school: It has a nice campus. It also has a brand new athletic center that's very nice.

Worst thing: It's hard to make a lot of friends because of work and school schedules.

Fun activity at my school: There's a lot of free parking and a shuttle bus that I liked to use on freezing cold days to get from the parking lot to the buildings. Also, if you use the local public buses, you can ride for free to and from school.
