Club alert: Exploring

Do you know what you want to do after high school? What about after college? Do you think you know what it’s really like in the career field you’re interested in? If you answered no to any of these questions, then Exploring is for you.

Exploring is a co-educational career program for high school students. It’s part of the Learning for Life subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America, but it’s for you ladies, too. The program is designed to give young people a better understanding of particular careers, such as architecture, zoology, journalism and fire protection. The purpose of Exploring is to confirm your interest in a particular field or point you in another direction.

In a dentistry program, students may actually work with a drill on real teeth; students in a law enforcement program may learn how to properly search a house or ride along with officers.

If you’d like to learn more about a career, contact our local Boy Scout Council and ask about Exploring, or visit www.Learningforlife.com and click on Exploring.
