We’ve scoured Web sites, searched through our mail and have come up with these scholarships you just can’t miss. Check out these national and state-specific listings for your ticket to free money! We’ve done our best at providing you with the basic deadline, amount and deadline descriptions, but it’s up to you to check with each school and organization to see what you need to do to apply. Organization: Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Scholarship name: Community College Transfer Program
Amount: $1,500 to $2,500
Deadline: February
Award requirements: Applicants must be Hispanic and enrolled full time at a community college in specific areas. Minimum GPA required, also definite plans to transfer to a four-year school in the fall. Application required.

Scholarship name: Transfer Merit Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Award requirements: Must be a two-year transfer student with a GPA of 3.30 or higher.

Scholarship name: Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Amount: $4,500; Renewable.
Deadline: Rolling
Award requirements: Member of Phi Theta Kappa, 3.4 GPA. (Must fill out the CSS Profile and FAFSA.)

Amount: $1,000 to $4,000; Renewable.

Award requirements: Transferring from another four-year college or university, or a junior or community college outside of Connecticut, have at least a 3.2 GPA, and transferring at least 30 credits. (Must fill out the CSS Profile and FAFSA.)

Award requirements: Many require a separate application and essay.
