Higher Education in Colorado Colleges
Accounting for nearly two-fifths of the population among Rocky Mountain states, Colorado has seen a recent surge in urban expansion among some of its bigger cities. The state’s top three, Denver, Colorado Springs, and Aurora, all lie within an area known as the Front Range--a geographic area along the foothills of the Rockies. While skiing is perhaps Colorado’s best known recreation activity, sports also play a large role in the life of the state’s citizens. Denver, in fact, has gained a reputation as being one of the premier sports cities in America.
While the job market has slowed in recent years in Colorado, the state’s outlook for graduates in medical and telecommunications fields looks to remain strong. Lockheed Martin, Quest, IBM, and 3t Systems are all major employers located in the state. |
