Computer Programming Schools
Computer Programming Schools

Summary

As technology changes, so too does the curriculum in the classroom in order to meet the demands of the job market. A computer programming degree provides students with a broad base of knowledge in information science, mathematics, engineering, and physical science. In addition, students are trained to use the most state-of-the-art technology and software available on the market so that upon graduation they are as current as possible on an industry that his always evolving and growing more complicated. Within this real world environment computer programming graduates will be able to thrive.

Computer Programming Schools and Computer Programming Training and Courses prepare students for a career where one will spend most of their time in front of a computer situated in an office. A typical work week for a computer programmer consists of 40 hours; however in order to meet deadlines or unexpected problems one may be required to work overtime. Similar to any other job dealing with a lot of time spent in front of a computer; computer programmers are susceptible to minor injuries such as back discomfort, eyestrain and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Earning Potential:
The salary for an entry-level computer programmer is $48,000 per year, while most senior or managerial computer programmers make $81,000 per year.
Work Environment:
Computer programmers work in a comfortable office environment; however, they also spend very long hours in the office meeting important deadlines and fixing computer network and database problems that can occur at any time of day. The upside to this is that with the advent of telecommuting, many computer programmers can work some of their long hours from home. Though the hours are long, the benefits are good and there is generally two weeks paid vacation offered by most companies.
