Higher Education in Kansas Colleges
Despite its reputation for being as flat as a tabletop, Kansas boasts an extensive state park system and a multitude of rivers that make it a welcome spot in the center of the nation. A recent victim to “rural flight,” Kansas has found itself looking to replace the substantial number of citizens who have left in past years. This means once-in-a-lifetime land deals and tax breaks for newcomers.
Wichita, Overland Park, Kansas City, and Topeka are the largest cities in the state. Many of the state’s largest employers are based out of these cities, namely Spirit Aero Systems, Cessna Aircraft Corporation, Raytheon Aircraft Corporation, and Scanlon’s LLC. With the push for a population increase also comes a push for new jobs in many industries; news analysts, reporters, correspondents, surveyors, and architects look to be in hot demand in the next ten years. |
