Project Management Summary:
Schools educate students on a wide range of tasks the job entails from designing business plans to monitoring network security as well as directing Internet operations. Construction project managers primarily focus on planning, directing and coordinating different projects that range from residential to things such as hospitals. The job also entails scheduling and coordinating the designing elements of the project. They are not responsible for manual labor but do participate in the selection and hiring of employees. Cost estimation managers are responsible for providing owners or managers with accurate cost estimations so that it can be deemed if a proposed project will be profitable.

Construction and Cost estimation project managers spend a lot of time within the office but are also frequently visiting construction sights to oversee and gather useful information. The conditions can be dusty, dirty and sometimes hazardous. Computer and information systems project managers also spend the majority of their time within an office. All project managers generally work 40 hour weeks, however there are strict deadlines and unexpected problems that often occur causing workers to work overtime.
