Higher Education in South Carolina Colleges
South Carolina has a reputation for being the location of many historical events. In recent times, residents also focus on the miles of sandy beaches and scenic mountains that dominate the state’s landscape. This state is one of the leaders in exporting such goods as tobacco, paper products and soybeans.
Columbia sits in the center of the state and provides a hub of art, theatre, and other cultural escapes. Charleston, the state’s second largest city, is well-known for its historic streets lined with oaks draped in Spanish moss. Postsecondary education is likely to be the most in-demand career in both of these cities, as is special education and education administration in the remainder of the state. The three largest employers in South Carolina include the US Department of Energy, Medical University-SC/VSCLR, and the Chest Pain Center of Greenville. |
