Teen Love
I have been with the same guy for two and a half years now. I am about to graduate high school. I hate when people tell us that because of our age that we won't be able to make it in our relationship. They may be right, but they don't need to put it in our minds that we don't belong together.
The peer pressure that we get daily is horrible to stand. Everyone expects us to have sex. Well when you come from a good Christian upbringing, you do not need sex to make a relationship better. All you need is love, trust, and commitment.
His mom doesn't believe that we will make it because she has had two failed marriages. She doesn't need to put her negative thoughts on us and tell us that we can't make it. She needs to support us. My parents, on the other hand, believe in us so much that they actually want us to get married.
I just wish that people would mind their own business and support teenage love. It's a beautiful thing and it is no different than adult love. Article provided by
