Friends After High School

How do the friendships you made in high school continue through life? As everyone knows friends in high school can last a life time. It is very hard to keep up with friends because each has their own dreams. You might have matured faster than that friend. Spending time with him doesn't interest because you are focused on your goal of getting to medical school for example or making a future for yourself. Those situations can be very hard but you work through them. You might be thinking how can I do that.

1)Friendship is a sacrifice the person might be feeling the same way you have. 2)Try to talk to your friend, tell them how you feel. 3)Slowly distance yourself from that person.

If any of these choices don't work for you: tough you are going to have to pick one of them or continue to lie to yourself. That will make you suffer and the other party involved suffer also. If you don't like any of these ideas think of some other ones.

Friendship is suppose to help you grow be a better person. The people you are friends with are supposed to bring you up, not down. Not them calling you on a Monday night to ask you to come to a party or meet "cute" guys. They are supposed to help you up, if they don't distance yourself because they will only drag you down in the long run. This is easier said than done.
