Follow Your Heart

"Follow your heart." A saying that you may hear a lot. How do you know what your heart is saying? Well, sometimes, you just..know. Your heart is not what makes you think--but do. Like when for no reason at all you're hugging. So tight. So long. You don't quite realize just HOW long, because time doesn't exsist at the moment. Your mind is completely blank. You're eyes close. All you hear is the sound of him breathing. You realize you've never felt so..amazing, safe, and complete in your entire life and the feeling is so wonderful and so overwhelming that you have to hold your breath a few times because you think it's going to make you cry. You never want to let go. And for a minute you tell yourself you never will, because some good things can last forever. But you do eventually, while proving yourself wrong that some good things can't last forever.

 You open your eyes. The only thing you see now are his. All the promises you made to yourself about never falling in love and never risking anything for anyone has suddenly just vanished. Because you just fell in love by taking one of the biggest risks of your life. Sometimes thats all it takes. It takes a big risk to realize how much you'd do to be in the arms of someone you love and have it feel like eternity.

 Following your heart. It's not easy, but when you glance in the mirror and don't see all of yourself until he's standing right beside you, you'll hear it. And even though you're filled with so much doubt and the tears come and go, deep down you know that..just maybe..someday you wont have to follow your heart with him anymore, because you'll already be there..
