Dating

Ever since i could remember, it has never been a big deal for a younger girl/woman to date an older guy. If an older girl/woman was to date a younger guy it would be looked down on.

When I was 15, I had just learned to tweeze my eyebrows the correct way and what clothes looked cute on me. Guys started to notice me, especially ones that were older. They would flirt with me and then flirt with another girl. i started to think guys were not for dating! They did not want me in the way I wanted them to. My friends and family were all stunned I never had a boyfriend while my cousin, two years younger, always had a boyfriend. If they knew what kinda guys liked me, they would be happy I did not have a boyfriend.

Then, one day a cute younger boy started to notice and I noticed him. We began to hangout becasue he lived right next door to my boyfriend crazy cousin. He was 13, shy, and very sweet. At first I would not be his girlfriend because he was 2 years younger. But come to find out, I was in love! He never treated me with disrespect, he did not make a move on me, he was funny, fun, and told me he loved me on our first date.

I lost a couple of what I thought were friends over the situation. My other friends made jokes and put me and him down. I ignored as much as I could. Two years later and we are still together and happy. MY family still thinks I will meet someone new, and my friends have all been through crazy relationships with older people. My mom and his mom have become friends and go shopping all the time. I believe age does not matter in a relationship as long as there is respect, trust, love, and happiness just like other ones. As they say, do what your heart tells you!
