Be yourself

My Name is Tim. I'm a 16 year old boy who now through bad dession making skills and worst reasoning skills, live in a group home. I'm not really mad at my self because you know what they say going through some thing yourself is really the best way to learn to deal with things.

Well my story starts about when i was 9. In Late summer of my 9th year my father passed away from my life. It was such a great loss to me and my family. At that point I had begun to have a good relationship with my dad.  After he passed i didn't know what to do with myself. At this time I had just become a latch key kid because my mom had to work all kinds of hours to suport my little brother and I. By the time i reached the age of 13-14 due to not seeing my mom a lot I started to pull away from her, and do my own thing. Because I was lost and trying to find anything to fill up this loss I was feeling in my life, I turned to what everybody else was doing. I was the kid that just wanted to be so cool so bad that I would really almost do any thing to get a rise out of people.

That turned into drug use and crazy sex patterns. Just because of me wanting to be "cool" I was peer pressured into doing things I didn't intend to do, like drugs. Well to make a really long story short, I've been in a lot of trouble with my mom and my friends and had hard times interacting with people because so to speak, I was on my "own planet." Well now I've just started to turn my life around for the better and not worry about what everybody else wants you to be like and to just be you.
