Loyola University New Orleans offers a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Health Care Systems Management (HCSM). The HCSM program focuses on knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a variety of nursing leadership positions in health care organizations.

"The HCSM program requires 36 credit hours of graduate coursework, 12 of which are devoted to core courses and 24 of which are devoted to HCSM major courses. The HCSM Master's program is designed to be completed in 24 months."

An RN who has a non-nursing bachelor's degree may be admitted to Loyola's MSN program without obtaining a BSN degree. To be admitted to the MSN program, the RN must complete Loyola's MSN Blend program which is now offered online.

The online blend program is composed of integrated upper division, undergraduate nursing courses that serve as prerequisites to 700-level (graduate) nursing courses. This 6-credit blend program covers important themes including leadership, health promotion, community, and professional development.
